I am lucky enough to have the support and interest of a great number of wonderful musicians from around the world. But I have lost count of the number of times I have heard a musician say "I'd love to commission a new piece from you, if only I could find some commission funding". Aside from commission fees for the composer, such individuals and groups also need support to put on concerts of new work.
